166 Days ’til 40: Sleeping Saturday

08 Sep

Sometimes you have one of “those weeks”.  You know the type, don’t you?  Those weeks that end with you unable to keep your eyes open when eating Friday night dinner and find you quickly drooling on your pillow.

At the end of one of “those weeks” sometimes the only respectable thing to do is stay in your pajamas and hide in bed for a day.  It helps!

Today, 166 days ’til 40, you will find me spending quality time with my pillow.  It is a good thing.

😦 Wish you were in bed because you want to be and not because you are ill.

    Lol,
It is a learning process isn’t it… somehow there’s always a guilt factor induced to ourselves, by ourselves, when we finally let go… lol
I turned 40 last month! I really need to learn form you! lol.
This past year I have been working on that process of letting go and have actually allowed myself a few sleeps in and even a couple of naps in the afternoon… don’t laugh, it is the 4th decade cape that does that to you!!! ageing graciously means accepting that sometimes we need to just curl up in bed and regenerate for a day… or two! lol
I’ll try that as soon as no one is around to witness it! lol… that guilt thing again… lol
Thanks for your post, I hope you get better before your 40th.

I love my duvet days, and only climb out of my pyjamas if I have to be somewhere or am expecting company! And to have a bath, obviously 🙂

After the first week of school, I would have liked to hang out in bed. Unfortunately, other responsibilities to home and college coursework call. How did picking those blackberries after breakfast fit in? The fresh milkshake I’ll enjoy later will make up for the get up!

Hope you feel refreshed after your pillow time.

I hope you really can relax and stay in bed. Just think, you can sigh contentedly and look up at the ceiling – it’s good for the soul, so enjoy! 🙂
