144 Days ’til 40: Going to the Theatre

30 Sep

Today we saw the Alvin Ailey Dance Company – they were amazing.  It is so nice to take a step back and appreciate an evening of gorgeous artistic expression.

What a wonderful experience. There really is nothing to beat a good live performance!

Oh, lucky you, 400! Years ago, I worked an Alvin Ailey tour…what a great, well-disciplined company! Have a beauty of a Sunday!

No way! How long ago did you work on the tour? Did you meet/ know Matthew Rushing??? I went to high school with him – such a nice, and talented guy!

Sorry, 400…it’s been a good 30 years ago…I think you and Matthew would have still been in elementary school, yes?

Great to read that you had an exciting and artful weekend. I had to go on YouTube to see what you have been enjoying – seen some amazing dancing. Brilliant.

Thank you! Yes, and the best part is that I know one of the company members (sadly, he was not there at the performance I saw).
