The weather is starting to change…. I LOVE it! I do not need great seasonal changes, but I LOVE the rain, so it is wonderful for me to see the rain start to fall in the autumn. Yesterday as the rain started to fall, my girls began to cheer. They know how much we need the rain, and they also love rainy days.
As the weather changes, we get other treats as well. Last night we were driving home late and we had a wonderful gift. There was a vibrant thunder storm that we were able to witness as we drove. It was so fun to watch the girls react to the thunder and lightning. They “ooeed” and “aawwwed” just as though they were watching Independence Day Fireworks – but this light show was free!
Today, 117 days ’til 40, I pause and enjoy the beauty of the changing seasons.

As I read this I could just imagine seeing their faces reacting to the thunder and lightening! Children have such an uncensored way of being and experiencing the world. It’s refreshing and when you are with them through moments like this….the world is new again. 🙂 Glad you guys got some rain too – little fly by shower yesterday morning was welcome here!

Yes! It was SOO much fun to watch them enjoy the lightning! 🙂 I am hoping for more rain, we need it and it lifts my spirits!

Can’t say I’m a fan of rain and dark gloomy weather (I’m originally from England!). Much prefer to be on the Mediterranean coast here. But we still get a good few months of winter in the city I live in. Not every year, but on most years it snows but the winter and autumn seasons are a lot less shorter here which I prefer.

It is interesting to see how different people react to the seasonal changes. They say many people suffer great depression in rainy places, like London and Seattle… Yet, I LOVE the rain and seem to come alive…. maybe I was wired a bit backwards??? 🙂

The leaves here in Kentucky have just reached that wonderful moment where you get to see all the various colours – red, green, yelllow, golden orange… there’ll all on show. And it’s rained pretty much non-stop today!

Love the change of seasons, the rainy Autumn days…the heavy snows, not so much, 400! But, just as your girls did, I also, at my ‘advanced age’ (Haha, I laugh at it!), I also ‘oooh’ and ‘ahhh’ at thunder and lightning. Have a beautiful Sunday, all of you!
