84 Days ’til 40: Where is Winter???

29 Nov

We are ready for winter – we want to bundle up in our warm sweaters and put our feather comforters on our beds.  Instead, we walk outside, and the following is the picture we see – it appears that we are still slowly making our way through autumn/ fall. I LOVE the colors of autumn, but I really want the nostalgic feeling that winter brings, particularly those bundled up, warm feelings.  Those feelings that come when you wrap a fuzzy blanket around you and sip hot chocolate and read a book as the rain pours down outside.

Hmmmmm, at this rate, what is the chance of a snow day this year?

Today, 84 days ’til 40, I am thankful for the beauty of the seasons, even when their timing is not the timing I want!

Fall is my favourite season, but where I live we’ve had snow for a month and a half. It’s blizzardy here today 😦 You would get lots of snow days up here, but I’m sure snow days just put everyone behind

Yes, we like to only get 1-2 snow days a year, the perfect amount! Any more than that and we have to make them up…

Well it’s flipping cold in Scotland! lol! There was a LOT of frost on the ground throughout the day. There was a definite winter chill in the air. Hope you get the weather you’re waiting for soon.

I don’t know where winter is, but it’s not in Central Texas. Rain either. But I did see some red and yellow leaves today.

About to come into summer in Australia. Don’t know what happened last night? The sky opened up and rained down heavily on the city! ……Paula x

Wow! Will you please tell the winter to leave you and go to the side of the world where it belongs??? 🙂

I went to college in Minnesota – got my share of winter. One of my Canadian aunts spends her winter in Mexico now that she is retired. I only hope I can be that fortunate!
