Show me an educator and I will show you a sleep deprived person!
Confession #1: I am a night owl.
Confession #2: This does not go well with early morning reporting times.
Confession #3: I do not do caffeine (yes it IS true!)
Confession #4: I told my boss at a job I had 15 years ago that I should never be asked to make an important decision before 10:00 a.m.
Confession #5: My idea of a perfect weekend is pajamas, quality pillow time, a good book and no phone calls
Confession #6: I am too tired to write more for this post
🙂
Today, 16 days ’til 40, I am human and tired – I bet some of my blog readers will relate!

My ex would reword your statement as “Show me clergy and I will show you sleep deprived persons.” She’s an ordained minister and has a fair amount of blood in her caffeine system!

With luck you wrote this post early in the eve and went to bed and are soundly sleeping. 40 is just around the corner! You need energy for the big day! 🙂

From one night owl that’s a blogger to another, wait until you’re 16 days before 50, then you’ll really feel like the walking dead. Oh, to be 16 days under 40 again! Savor your youth!

You are a brave girl going without the caffeine…I’m such a biotch without my morning coffee!!!

It has been so long that I would be more worried about how I might act if I were to be on coffee!

Aha, yes I relate! I have a couple of years now to fifty and I am not about to put that into days. But what are you going to do with your blog when you reach the great day?

Thankfully, we had a good working relationship. Sometimes I did have to make the touch decisions early, but he also knew when it was better to wait until later in the morning.

Hi. I turned 40 last summer. I am also a night owl. I get a fair amount done most work days before 10am but only because I love my Coke-Cola. Nothing makes sense before 10a.m. on a lot of days. Embrace life, don’t stress over small stuff and go along shouting — “YEAH! I made it to 40!” It’ really not so bad. Susan

Definitely relate and except for the caffeine part, feels a little deja-vu-y. 🙂
Though in my case its because of being an aspiring writer with a day-job as opposed to being a teacher… though an aptitude test did say I should be one once… hmmm…

hehehe!!! Yes, why don’t you consider teaching, I can tell by the posts you write and your responses to me that you would be a person that students (particularly teens) would relate well to.

Probably because being a teacher in India with no qualifications to teach anything besides the economics I did in college would be utterly terrible! 😀
If I could teach english literature or philosophy or history or such at a school level I wouldn’t mind but no one would let me to be honest.

Humbly appreciated. Perhaps someday I’ll move somewhere I can teach what I’d be good at or do a short course that would qualify me properly. 🙂
Who knows right?

Really? Don’t know how you manage without even some caffeine, 400! Surely you’re not into Red Bull???
BTW–everyone has the ‘right’ to be tired, at least once or twice during the day…after all, the brain can only take so much!

February 7, 2013 at 23:11
hehehe – I do not drink Red Bull either! 🙂
