I once took a picture of me and my darling, of our shadows cast on a bright afternoon in a fountain outside the Louvre. Your shadow family reminded me of that moment. It was our first holiday together – we did learn a few new uncomfortable things about one another. He would say I had set ideas about how to behave in certain situations like an art gallery. I must admit I was quite fraught at times. I do now look back at it with fondness. We got through it. And loving him has been a joyous experience.
