18 Days ’til 40: Educational Evolution Efficacy: Fact or Fallacy???

Many educational experts believe that the present state of the educational system in the USA and abroad is less-than-desirable. Many agree that the realities of life in our current century do not necessarily align with the manner in which we are choosing to educate our children. Many agree that education is outdated and must be redesigned and re-thunk in order to become more meaningful for our children. What experts do not agree on is how we are going to do this.

Pain is a funny thing, isn’t it?  I am referring to physical pain, not emotional pain.  I have noticed a few interesting things about physical pain, I wonder if you have noticed too……..

106 Days ’til 40: Palm Berries – Acai???

 

This morning I was grumping.  I was grumping because we have a palm tree on the path that leads to the main entrance of the school and it is making a mess.  There are purple berries everywhere and as the students walk down the path they stomp on these purple berries and then track them into the school.  I was grumping because the gardeners are not sweeping the berries aside, and I was grumping because our poor custodians are going to bear the brunt of the realities of floors stained with deep purple juice.

 

114 Days ’til 40: Fruit of Your Labor

 

Okay, I admit, I came up with the title of this post due to the inspiration of painstakingly removing the seeds from a pomegranate.  If you have ever done this, you know that  it can be a long process and that your fingers often come out very red (or, at the best, they look a bit jaundiced afterwards).
