As we head into 2013 I plan on reminding myself that every journey, no matter how big or small – no matter how simple or great, starts with a single step. When I am looking at setting goals for my future, I can remind myself that each small step I take brings me closer to the goal – and I can celebrate these small steps, understanding that they will come together to form a larger, beautiful journey.
As I reflect on 2012 and look forward to 2013, I am thankful for the ability to step back and understand that the process of the journey can be celebrated. Each step does indeed have meaning. I strive to remember in the tough moments that I can break down the journey and I will reach my destination.
Today, 51 days ’til 40, I am thankful for both the journey and the understanding that one day I will indeed reach the destination I am headed towards.
May you and your loved ones be blessed in 2013.

He is an old man and my little prince. He is 14, our second cat (the black one) is 12 and our little baby calico is now 3.5. We are feline lovers in this home!

Nice to hear that looking back with more than just rose-tinted nostalgia and learning from it all – good and bad – is still considered by folks, it’s something I think we miss and forget far too often and should be an integral part of new years and birthdays and such. 🙂
