56 Days ’til 40: Lazy Weekdays

27 Dec

One of the things I LOVE most about winter break is that I have two weeks of lazy weekdays!  Yes, for two full weeks I can stay up late, remain in bed half the day (I am NOT a morning person) and leisurely mull throughout the apartment in various moments of productiveness (or lack thereof).  Today is going to be one of those days, with my only major goal being knitting, while simultaneously watching a movie with my girls (yes, I can even do lazy multi-tasking!)  I am enjoying this while I can, as it will not last long!  As you can see below, even my cat got in on the action!

Today, 56 days ’til 40, I am wishing that you will also be afforded the pleasure of experiencing lazy weekdays!  I do not take them for granted!

If you took them for granted they wouldn’t be as pleasurable. At least that’s how it works for me. They’re special because the opportunity to have a lazy weekend doesn’t come around that often. Enjoy …

I would challenge you to practice deeply treasuring (and being “present” – NOW), with every waking moment of your “time off, creating an inviolate sanctuary that nobody and nothing can penetrate, other than your beloved. When your 2 weeks are over, you will never be the same person again – I promise you! Inhale the time – they’re special moments. Hugs from here till next time.

I sorely needed these lazy days this year. The Type A I inherited from my mother is beginning to ask, “What did you accomplish today?” I promise to suppress that voice for another week!

Yes, it is very healthy to learn how to suppress that voice! I think it is something many of us need practice doing! 🙂
